At our home there is no such thing as a typical day. What do you do each day is totally driven by you and we help you to live your life as you choose. The following is a description of how you could experience a day at our home:

Waking and getting ready for the day

Some of our residents like to be up early while others like a lie-in. When you wake up, we will ask you if you would like something to eat or drink, and then support you to get washed and dressed.

Breakfast

You can opt for a cooked breakfast, cereal, toast or a continental breakfast in our dining room, your own room or in bed, if you prefer. If you struggle with eating we will support you.

Morning at your leisure

After breakfast there’s plenty of time to chat with other residents or visitors in one of the communal areas or have some alone-time reading the paper or a book in your room before our activities start mid-morning. Our housekeeping team cleans and tidies your room/ ensuite facilities.

Lunch

This is normally the main meal of the day and we offer plenty of choice, including options for special dietary requirements.

Afternoon fun and entertainment

You can join us for whatever the activities team has organised for that afternoon’s activity, chat with visitors or relax quietly in your room.

Supper

This is usually a light snack of soup and sandwiches, followed by a dessert, such as fruit and yogurt.

Evening relaxation

After supper many residents relax with a book, watch TV or chat with family via phone or video link. Later you will be supported to get undressed, washed and ready for bed. We also come round with hot or cold drinks and a bedtime snack.

Bedtime

Our residents are generally tired after a busy day and look forward to a refreshing sleep.
