Heathlands has a total of 84 en-suite bedrooms, spread over three floors, including specialist dementia care floors, which offer additional expert care and safety for you.
Each floor has it’s own team of nursing and care staff dedicated to your welfare. Nursing and care staff are on hand 24/7 and our key worker system means that you will always have a friendly and familiar face looking out for you.
Lifts To All Floors
All of the bright and comfortable rooms at Heathlands have large windows (many overlook the garden) and en-suite facilities. Some ground floor rooms also have French windows opening on to the garden.
There is lift access to all floors, and all are wheelchair accessible. Free wifi is available throughout the home, and all of the rooms are equipped with TV and telephone points, a nurse call system, and an adjustable automatic bed with a control handset to ensure your comfort.
Each floor has its own dining room and lounge where you can gather for meals, for group activities or to socialise. Each of the spacious rooms is comfortably furnished, with plenty of space for wheelchairs if you need one. A homely feel is important, so the lounge can be arranged for you to sit in a group to socialise, or to give you quiet space if you prefer.
The lovely enclosed garden at Heathlands are fully wheelchair accessible, and offer plenty of seating space for you and your guests to enjoy on warm days. There are plenty of spots to enjoy a pot of tea and fresh pastries with your visitors, or with your friends here at the home.
Our roof terrace, painted with calming murals, is also enjoyed by many of our residents with dementia. Whether you prefer to sit in the sun or exercise your green fingers in a spot of container gardening, it allows you to relax outdoors in comfort and security.
Many of our residents like to look their best, so a dedicated hair salon, A Cut Above, provides on-site hair and beauty facilities with our visiting hairdresser, and is very popular.
