A Warm Familiar Setting

We believe that settling in should be a smooth and supportive experience. From the very beginning, we take the time to get to know you and your family, learning about your preferences, routines and what matters most to you. This collaborative approach ensures that your care plan is tailored specifically to suit your lifestyle. Every stage from your first visit and assessment to moving in is managed with kindness and careful attention, making sure you feel welcomed, secure and valued as a vital member of the Heathlands community.

Dementia Care

We deliver exceptional, around-the-clock dementia care, supported by a highly skilled team with extensive experience in supporting individuals living with dementia. Families can have complete peace of mind knowing their loved ones are kept safe and cared for with genuine compassion and respect. Recognising that dementia is a progressive condition, we regularly monitor every aspect of our residents’ wellbeing—physical, mental, and emotional—to ensure we adapt our care as their needs evolve. We celebrate each resident’s individuality and never impose rigid routines, for example, we would never require anyone to rise at a particular time. After all, this is their home, and just like anyone, residents are free to enjoy a well-deserved lie-in whenever they wish.

Nursing Care

At our home, we offer round-the-clock nursing care and support for adults of all ages, whether their needs are straightforward or highly complex. Our experienced nursing teams deliver expert medical care and ongoing treatment for chronic conditions, ensuring tailored clinical assistance whenever required. Beyond attending to medical requirements, our committed carers help with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility assistance, dressing, medication management, and enabling residents to pursue hobbies and individual interests.

For those experiencing difficulties with chewing or swallowing, we provide a variety of specially prepared meals and can accommodate any other dietary preferences or needs.
We maintain strong partnerships with local GPs and healthcare professionals, so additional specialists can be brought in as necessary to address all medical and psychological needs, guaranteeing comprehensive and holistic care for every individual.

Short Term Care

There are times when someone may need a little extra support on a short-term basis, without the need to move into a care home permanently. This may be necessary after a stay in hospital when returning home straight away isn’t possible, or if your usual caregivers are temporarily unavailable for any reason. Sometimes, you might simply appreciate a break from managing on your own.

If you’re recovering from an illness or injury, such as after a stroke, heart attack, surgery, or even the loss of a limb—the hospital might suggest a period of care within a care home while you regain your strength and independence. This temporary support, often called convalescent care, is designed to help you recover until you’re ready to return home.
